The Cliff House Real Wedding | Sarahbeth + Nick | May 9, 2021

When their original international wedding plans changed, Sarahbeth and Nick chose the Cliff House for their Japanese Disco themed wedding day, and every moment was pure perfection. Pretty pink details adorned the venue alongside beautiful blooms and statement accents. We were so excited about their recent feature on Wedding Chicks and wanted to relive their day beginning to end with you. Enjoy!

From Sarahbeth and Nick:

Classic story of boy meets girl....at work. In a completely professional way Nick got just close enough to be friends and after enough social interactions, Sarahbeth saw him in a different light from the cubicles and coffee pot banter they shared from 9-5. After a few tacos and brews, the rest was history!

From Sarahbeth:

We wanted something intimate and classic but with enough space to make it our own unique day. After taking our first major trip to Japan, as a couple, the country and culture stole our hearts to where we wanted to share a bit of that with our closest friends and family. The Cliff House allowed us the freedom to be able to turn a corner of Bishop Arts into a SoHo, 70's themed piece of Japan for a few hours. Their ability to work seamlessly with our vendors worked wonders with the multiple moving pieces that made our special day possible.

From Nick:

We toured the Cliff House and did not even need to see any other venues because it was so perfect. I loved the vintage church vibe, the woodwork and the extra touches like the cute lighting and the chandeliers. We had our hearts set on the venue from day one!

From Sarahbeth:

Our friends and family stayed at the Virgin Hotel a few miles from the venue and we were able to get ready there. Once we were ready, we headed to the venue where I put my dress on and got to hangout in the bridal suite area. It was perfect!

From Nick:

My groomsmen made it as relaxed as possible for me leading up to that day. We went to one of my favorite hole in the wall bars to play pool and darts and then got a quick lunch at a favorite brewery of mine near the venue. Having everything in our "backyard" definitely helped out in terms of not feeling rushed.

 From Nick:

For me personally, our first dance was really special. I am definitely not much of a dancer, but I did really enjoy picking out our first dance song (Tina Turner's "Simply the Best"). We picked a slower version and during the song it was really peaceful just having her to me for a few seconds while we danced.

From Sarahbeth and Nick:

Something that we didn't get to experience as much as we wanted but we keep hearing about from friends and family was our boba tea truck that came towards the end of the night. That was a huge hit and definitely something that is remembered by everybody that was there.

From Sarahbeth:

Our wedding day was magical, breathtaking, blissful, organized, cared for....the list goes on!

From Nick:

Quick. There's so many things that happened in a short amount of time that you wish you had a few more seconds to soak it in. But the organization and coordination of the ceremony and reception speaks for itself that we were able to fit everything in and enjoy every second of it.

From Sarahbeth and Nick:

To future couples, have fun and let loose. The day is yours and nothing can truly ruin it. Lean into the bumps and remember you have your partner for life with you to pick you up.

Sarahbeth and Nick, thank you for allowing us the joy of celebrating with you! It was a perfect day that we’ll hold dear to our hearts. Cheers!
